Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is here for anyone with a life-limiting illness, or who is approaching the end of life, to help them live life to the full and receive the specialist and personalised care they need. This can be on the 12 bed In Patient Unit at Hospice where every room is en suite with peaceful sea views of St Aubin’s Bay; in their communal respite rooms during the day for individual and group activities; from home or at hospital. Jersey Hospice Care also care for children and young people, offer emotional and bereavement counselling and ensure the highest quality of care through their Community Education Team. It costs over £20,000 a day to run Hospice, and thanks to the generosity of the community, all their services are free and available 365 days of the year.

Jersey Hospice Care services

The Specialist Palliative Care Team works across Hospice, in the community and in the hospital, providing support, care, advice and complex symptom management.

The In Patient Unit offers facilities for short stay admission of symptom management, respite and end of life care. Care is delivered by skilled and experienced nurses, working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure personalised care for every patient.

The Community Bereavement Service provides free, confidential and person-centred support to any islander who has experienced bereavement, whether their loved one was cared for at Hospice or not.

The Emotional Support Service supports patients and their families with the emotional impact of knowing a loved one is going to die.
