Cancer Research UK (Jersey)

ABOUT US
Cancer Research UK Jersey is the local fundraising committee of Cancer Research UK, the largest volunteer supported cancer research organisation in the world. The committee traces its roots back to July 1953 when the then Bailiff of Jersey, Lord Coutanche, initiated the establishment of a Jersey fundraising team.
The Jersey committee is dedicated to actively promoting fundraising initiatives in aid of Cancer Research UK, in order to support research into the cause of cancer and the means of treating it more effectively. With your help, we believe we can beat cancer sooner.
Money raised throughout Jersey goes towards the Southampton Cancer Research Centre. The strong relationship between Jersey and Southampton is crucial for the many patients from Jersey who are treated in Southampton; it is considered the local hospital for Cancer treatment, as well as the closest hospital for clinical trials as there is no research environment in Jersey. The local committee maintains a close working relationship with the team at Southampton, ensuring that funds raised in Jersey are allocated with a tangible benefit to Islanders.
